A brand inspired by folklore and superstition. 

Folklore has it that horse brasses were used as talismans for luck and protection.  The shiny brass was supposed to fend off evil spirits.  Phalera’s horse brasses are embedded under the leather, so the shiny brass may be hidden, but we think the powers of luck and protection must still work on the supernatural plane! 

All Phalera bags are embedded with a lucky, vintage horse brass so you can carry your luck with you! 

Our bags are designed in England and handmade by skilled craftsmen in India.  The bags are all made from super-soft sheep nappa with veg tan leather trim and brushed silver tone hardware.  Due to the handmade nature of the bags and the differences you get with natural materials there may be imperfections or minor differences, but that just adds to their unique charm.

Phalera bags are produced in small production runs so there might only be one design of horse brass per bag style in a run.  It doesn’t mean that this design of horse brass won’t ever come up again, just that there are limited numbers per production run.
